[Friends]
[Lydia doesn't look too happy, but it's hard to tell what, exactly, is off about her. She's definitely concerned and overall, there's something heavier about her posture, her expression.

She's sitting by her desk and beside her communicator is, a pile of the books given to her for Christmas about the supernatural and about banshees. She's been studying.]

I know a lot of people have been feeling off since we got back from the port. I was in the infirmary myself for over a day. But there's something else going on. Something about the Barge is different, I don't know what, exactly. But I can feel it.

It's not death, but almost like a shadow. We all need to be careful. [She knows not everyone she considers her friend knows she's a banshee. But she cares about them so she wants to warn them. She's just not ready to announce it to the entire barge and cause panic.]


[Andrew]
[That's not the only thing worrying her, however. She has her warden item, her key, in her hand and is looking down at it when she starts the video to her inmate.]

Hey. I think we need to talk.


[Spam - Kira]
[She has heard about Kira being awake again after her time at the infirmary. She hasn't been over there to see her yet, though. And she hasn't really talked to her since the day she learned about Jackson.

And she knows it's about time for her to apologize. Or-- at least make things clearer. So she makes her way over to Kira's room and knocks on her door, hoping she's actually there so they can get this over with.]


[Allison]
[She feels silly, leaving her a message like this. But she used to write her texts before coming here, before Allison's arrival. Of things she needed to talk to her best friend about. And she has been talking to her in her room, but right now she feels like she can't leave because she has research to do. To stop someone else from getting hurt. So this will have to do.]

I need you to wake up. If something bad's about to happen, [And it is.] I need to know for sure you're okay.


[Jean]
[She's been meaning to do this since he arrived, but there's been so much going on, she never actually followed through with it. But now that she's talking to him again, she figures he's waited long enough.]

Hey Jean, can I ask you something?

[Lydia doesn't look as tired as she did a few days ago, she has a soft smile on her lips, but she doesn't look like she's entirely back to normal just yet.

When she speaks, though, her voice is light.]

I know everyone must still be recovering from the last flood, which is why I wanted to give you guys something else to think about.

Valentine's Day is in less than two weeks! [Her face brightens at that, and while this is sincere, people who have known her longer might be able to tell she's entered 'popular girl' mode.]

I know not everyone here knows what that means so the short version is: you celebrate people you care about. Not necessarily romantically, it can be a good friend, or family. Or it can just be a way for you to show people you want to get to know them better.

So I'm here to make two offers:

The first one is for anyone who needs a little nudge talking to someone. If you're not sure how to approach them, or you're not sure you should. I'm open to listening to you, or being contacted anonymously if you're more comfortable with that.

[That same bright smile is still on her face when she starts his video. And really, in this particular situation, there might be a dangerousness behind it.]

[She's definitely more serious now but not as much as she'd have been if things were really bad. Considering, it could definitely be worse.]

Two things: we should discuss Scott's new beta. He needs some serious help with control.
And this is mostly for the wolves, I don't know how it works for you, Kira. But-- did that scream sound different to you guys? [More painful and sharp, perhaps? Stronger? More powerful? Like maybe she's not defenseless after all? In a physical sense, anyway. She knows she's not defenseless otherwise.]

[Patrols have been-- fairly uneventful. Lydia doesn't really expect any differently. She knows the Barge has spikes on 'weird', like the floods and ports. Usually if there's something bad going on, well, they can narrow it down to an inmate or two. Compared to what she vaguely remembers from the mirror barge, it's not bad at all.

She makes her way up to the deck about a minute before they're set to patrol. The idea today is for them to make their way down to zero, stopping by the common areas on their way. It shouldn't be too bad, and despite being around Arthas still being a challenge for her, she thinks she's been handling it fairly well.]

[Unlike her last couple of barge-wide communications, Lydia looks serious in this one. If you look close enough, or if you know her a little better, you can tell she's upset.]

Jackson's gone. [The words make her jaw clench, her stomach too. Because she might have moved on romantically, but she cares. She always has and she always will.]

I know he didn't have many friends here, but some of you probably knew him.

[And she feels guilty for not doing more, for not trying harder, for not focusing on him more and helping him every second of free time she had.

With a deep breath, she looks away, then back at the camera, her expression more neutral than before.]

Does anyone know why this happens? Why people are sent back without graduating?

[It's a few hours later and Lydia looks a lot more festive already. On top of her pink sweater, she has a red headband on, her make up and curls have been redone and she looks perfectly put together.

Behind her is her room, already all decorated with silver, purple and pink decorations. Along with a small, white Christmas tree in the corner, with ornaments in the same color scheme.]

Hello Barge!

The Holidays are coming up as you must have noticed and me and my helpful elves -- that is Stiles, Scott and Jackson -- have been going around the cabins to help everyone get a little more festive!

We're knocking on everyone's doors on the next few days and decorating for you! If you have a specific color schemes you'd like to see in your room, let us know and we'll help you!

Happy Holidays! [And with a bright grin, she waves at the camera, and hangs up.]

[Lydia's been very busy lately. On top of everything with Stiles and the decorating, she's been working on something else. Not alone, of course. Barbara, well Babs, did most of it. And Allison helped. But now it's done and she needs to hand them out.

It's late at night, past eleven, when she can be seen dropping boxes off by the following cabins: Bucky's, Steve's, Peter's, Isaac's, Kira's, Jackson's, Scott's, Allison's and finally, Stiles'. For those finding the packages, it'll include a note: Happy early Christmas, Pack! ♥ Lydia.

Alternatively, all during the day she can be found going up and down the hallways with a box of decorations and a determined smile on her face, or knocking right at your door with an offer to decorate.]

[Lydia takes a deep breath, she knows they don't see him like she does. She can't really blame them, but she wants them to understand the basics, at least.]

I know most of you never got along with him. Most of you probably hate him and I don't blame you. [But. There's definitely a but.]

The last thing he remembers is dying. Before he turned into a werewolf and came back. He remembers all of us there with him, and Derek and Peter killing him. He doesn't remember coming back.

Scott, he will probably need your help understanding his abilities, even if they are dulled down.
[She looks down, her eyes tearing up slightly.]

And if you haven't guessed, he's an inmate. I don't want to force anyone to help him, but if you think you're just gonna get into an argument with him, or a pissing contest, just avoid him. Please. [That's mostly for you, Stiles. With one more glance at the camera, she cuts the feed.]




[Warden Filter]
[This is the most serious the Barge has seen Lydia. She has a blank expression on her face and her voice is even. Right now she hates the admiral. She hates him for doing this to Jackson, for what he has been doing to Stephen, for bringing Jerry on board.]
Our newest inmate, Jackson who just arrived, he's my ex-boyfriend.

He has a temper [obviously] and he's not easy to handle, so if any of you have issues with him, let me know right away and I'll talk to him. I can handle him.

[The image is shaky when Lydia starts the video. The camera showing nothing but her hair and chin for a moment. And then she shifts it with a huff as she straightens back up and is no longer trying to lift Andrew's unconscious form off the floor.

She definitely looks worried. And maybe a little pale from the effort she was just making.]

I need help on the 7th floor. [Deep breath.]

My inmate, Andrew Detmer. I just found him unconscious.

He's too heavy, I can't take him to the infirmary on my own.

[Lydia looks a little more tired than usual. Not even her makeup is able to really cover up the dark circles under her eyes. But she's still doing her best to look put together. Her hair is in a half updo and she's wearing a white and pink flower print dress.

If anyone asks, she will blame Bucky's training for her exhaustion. But it has very little to do with it.]

I don't know how many of you heard about the new inmate, Jerry Dandrige. He barely arrived and he has already spent a week in Zero. He has hurt a few people and I'm afraid he will do it again.

Those of you with more experience here, what do you suggest we do about it?

[Lydia is actually not in her room for a change. She's currently sitting in one of the study rooms in the library and she looks a lot more relaxed than she did back in her previous video. She definitely feels more rested than she's had since she got to the barge. Mostly thanks to her occasional sleeping arrangements. But she also knows she needs to find more activities for herself. She doesn't have school here and she's craving social interaction. Which is the whole point of this video.]

So I've been thinking and I think both Wardens and Inmates alike could really benefit from more social activities here at the Barge.

I know the boys are starting the Lacrosse teams and I think that's a great start but we can go a lot further. We can have movie nights and theme parties and dinners. It'd be a good way to get to know more people.

Which is why I'm looking for volunteers for a social event planning committee. Is anyone interested? Or does anyone have ideas on activities we could do?
