[She has debated making this video not public for the entire Barge. Mostly, she'd debated whether or not to filter out the damn vampire. But as far as she knows, she's safe to just make it public without risking leaving someone else out, too since he's still at the infirmary. Besides, he'd be really damn stupid to try something when most, if not all of the Barge is up there.

Lydia's face is brighter than it's been when she shows up on video. Mostly because of what she's planning on doing after her public announcement but also because she owes it to Needy to make this amazing. She deserves to have a great party and Lydia will so everything in her power to deliver her just that. She is known for throwing the best parties in Beacon Hills after all.]

Hello Barge!

I know we've had a couple of rocky weeks with a flood and lots of drama, but that's not what this is about.

I'm sure most of you have met Needy by now. She has a birthday coming up and we're celebrating it! This will be a full on party, there will be drinks, food and music. We're still deciding on a location*, but I will let everyone know as soon as we pick one.

The party is happening on the 19th, that is this coming Friday and we are getting started around eight.

I expect to see everyone there. Don't make me send people to come drag you from your cabin because I will! [And that might be especially for you, Peter. And maybe a few others who might need nudging.]

[She switches the feed off and takes a deep breath. She's not nervous so much except-- she kind of is? It's a lot of pressure considering what she's about to do, who this is and the fact that she basically never had to do this before. Guys usually just come begging her for dates and eventually, she says yes if she feels like it. She's never had to ask someone else out. Not that she's asking so much... she really doesn't think she needs to.]

[She has a lot to do. She wants the party to be absolutely perfect and she still needs to find a location for it. So far, she's considering the deck because of view, but she knows not everyone appreciates a reminder that they are out in space, so she is also considering the CES.

Right now, it will all depend on what she can find in the CES the day of the party and if it's doable or not, but she fact that it's locked and inmates like Jerry would need a Warden to let them in and she knows no one would willingly. They are all wardens for a reason, right?

Right now, she has notes on her phone of what she needs to get and what she needs to do, and she's checking them over and adding materials to make lanterns. Either way, she will need them. She might check what she can find in the art room with Ben. She might have to just request something from the Admiral.]

[ He had no doubt she'd sense him nearby. But how likely was she to look up as she made her way through the corridors? He waited until she found her way to an empty common room, before dropping down. She was barely inside when his boots hit the floor with barely a sound. He leaned on the door frame with both elbows, bandaged hands relaxed. ]

[She feels him. She's just a few steps into the common room when she feels death. At first, she wonders if it's all in her head. But it's stronger than it's been these days. And then he speaks and Lydia holds her breath, closing her eyes for a second then letting her breath out slowly to calm herself down.]

That's too bad. You're not invited. [She turns to face him with a smirk on her lips, but it slips when she sees him. The bandages are enough to turn her stomach and make her want to run. Because of course she remembers it. The Nogitsune. She remembers Oak Creek and the remembers the school. For a second, she's not sure this is real.]

[Ben is uncertain about the severity of the threat tacked onto the end of Lydia's public message, but ultimately he decides it isn't a threat of the classic kind. He's still anxious about speaking up because guess who does not handle parties at all well, but. It's Needy, who has been his friend simply because she wanted to be.]

Do you require any further assistance with executing a menu for your party, Lydia? [Food, he can handle. Two years of experience working in the Barge kitchens, one of those supervising, are good for this kind of social wedge.]

[She smiles brightly. Coming by the kitchen to check with him and the others about what they could do is on her list. She figured worst case scenario she'd just ask for simple things like vegetables and fruits and a couple different dips, but since he's offering...]

I was planning on coming to talk to you guys. I think since it's a little later, people can snack, or have dinner before. But I'd like to have some food at least so no one is drinking on an empty stomach. Do you have any suggestions?

Actually, it might not be a bad idea to have someone keeping an eye on the door. As long as you promise you'll have fun, too.

[Jerry is slowly saturating his friends' lives, and he Does Not Like It. Part of what he likes about being on the Barge is that, in a lot of ways, he can just be a normal guy. He's not the strongest one around, and there are a dozen other strong, capable people here. He doesn't have to jump at everything.

Not that he resents what involvement he's had in Beacon Hills, it's just - nice. To have a break.

But he can't take a break from this. These are his friends, and he can't just stand by. He eyeballs the conversation with Kira for a bit before switching on a private filter.]

[When Scott asks her so directly, Lydia can't help but sigh softly. She considers her answer for a moment then starts her video. Stiles already knows about her inviting Jerry in during the flood, so she assumes Scott knows about it, too. It's a pretty safe assumption when it comes to the two of them.]

I ran into him while I was scouting places for the party. It seems he's out of the infirmary.
