[006. Lydia's Birthday is always the party of the year.]
[Lydia is actually not in her room for a change. She's currently sitting in one of the study rooms in the library and she looks a lot more relaxed than she did back in her previous video. She definitely feels more rested than she's had since she got to the barge. Mostly thanks to her occasional sleeping arrangements. But she also knows she needs to find more activities for herself. She doesn't have school here and she's craving social interaction. Which is the whole point of this video.]
So I've been thinking and I think both Wardens and Inmates alike could really benefit from more social activities here at the Barge.
I know the boys are starting the Lacrosse teams and I think that's a great start but we can go a lot further. We can have movie nights and theme parties and dinners. It'd be a good way to get to know more people.
Which is why I'm looking for volunteers for a social event planning committee. Is anyone interested? Or does anyone have ideas on activities we could do?
I can count on you guys to help, right?
[This comes with one of those Lydia smiles. The ones that will either make people automatically smile back at her, or if they know her, know that saying no will just be a mistake. It might have both effects on certain people.]
[ Private Video - Arya]
I'm still working on it, but let me know if this looks anything like what you have in mind.
[She moves the camera over to the sketch board and shows Arya the snowy mountains she promised her.]
[ooc: *friends would be pretty much she's had friendly interactions with before. If you think your character would be on this filter, they are! If you wanna make sure anyway, let me know by pm or on plurk, but I'm pretty chill about it.]

[ Private Video ]
[She's not saying it to be cruel, and realizes only distantly that maybe she's being unkind.]
I feel different. [That doesn't mean better, in her book.]
[ Private Video ]
[More than to feel attacked by the information, Lydia feels bad for her. She's young, she should have someone who is there for her.]
Good different?
[ Private Video ]
[She can tick them all off on her fingers - all her wardens, her friends, her pack. They've all done. They've all left her behind. Arya looks away, frowning at some point below the communicator. She's struggling to stop her frown from becoming a scowl.]
They're all gone.
[She doesn't answer Lydia's second question, though: she's not entirely sure of the answer.]
[ Private Video ]
So she tries for a reassuring smile.]
Well, you said it yourself, I'm probably gonna be here for a while. And my deal is far to important for me to leave without completing it. So if there's anything you need, you can let me know, okay?
[ Private Video ]
[Her fifth, sixth, seventh, she's almost lost count of them all. Arya makes friends easily, but she doesn't always confide easily.]
What's your deal for?
[ Private Video ]
[She imagines that's important. And it should help Arya feel less like she's alone.]
To undo some terrible things that happened to me and my friends.
[ Private Video ]
[She shrugs, like it isn't nearly as important as it is.]
Was there a war?
[ Private Video ]
It wasn't a war in the literal sense of the word.
[Considering the way Arya dresses herself and what she knows of her home, she imagines she'd be thinking of armies and battles.]
There was something dangerous my friends and I had to face and there were casualties along the way.
[ Private Video ]
[She doesn't expect an answer: some things are private and meant to stay that way. But she hears those words, and she thinks of the people she's lost, some dead, some just gone. And it makes her curious.]
[ Private Video ]
A few people we know. But it'll be over by the time we get back.
[ Private Video ]
[She understands how the deals work. It's not an accusation, exactly, just a change for precision.]
[ Private Video ]
[Changed just doesn't sound as permanently over with to her. And she needs it to be permanent.]
[ Private Video ]
[ Private Video ]
[She pauses and takes a deep breath before smiling softly at Arya.]
I just don't want to think about it actually happening and being changed. I rather think it will be like it never happened.
[ Private Video ]
[She pushes those thoughts away, though: it's not worth the consideration, not now.]
If that's what your deal is for, then that's how it will be.
[ Private Video ]
[She smiles softly and nods. It's better than saying she hopes for it. It has to be that way.]
