[019. Pushing on I can't escape]

[Spam - Open to people who'd come into her cabin]

[The second she steps inside her cabin, she knows something's off. Ever since the blackout, she's been staying at Stiles' or Alison's. She hasn't been back because she knows how much more dangerous Jerry can be in the dark and he has hurt enough people as is.

But she can't quite put her finger on what's happening. Not until she sees it. The words carved on the wall above her bed read Stephen, Mickey. Who's next? And while that's enough to get a rise out of her, it's the object used to make out the question mark that really makes her angry.

Allison's silver arrowhead. The one Lydia picked up from the school grounds the morning after Aiden was killed. The one her best friend made the night of her death. A token she chose to keep as a reminder why she couldn't fail again.

And to see it used in this manner. As Jerry tells her he wants to get Allison demoted, too makes her wanna scream.

Before Lydia can think this through, she gets up on her bed and reaches for the arrowhead, with every intent to pull it off the wall before anyone else can see it. She's not even rationalizing her actions and it's not until she sees the blood running down her hand and arm that she realizes she's cut herself on it.]

[Video - Open but filtered against Jerry]
[It's a couple of hours later until she makes this video and she's keeping her bandaged hand out of the camera's view.

She looks unusually angry, mostly because she feels like switching cabins feels like running, like giving up. And Lydia Martin doesn't give up. But she knows she can't mountain ash her door or sleep over in Stiles' cabin forever.]

If anyone's looking for me, I've changed cabins. I rather not publicly say where I'm staying now but if you need to know, ask and I'll tell you in private.

[Lydia's words echo in her head for a couple of minutes after she cuts the call.

We're done.

It's worse than their fight after Jackson's arrival to the Barge. It's worse than knowing about her own death. It's worse than breaking up with Scott, because coming home for this has been the only thing Allison had to keep her going for so long. Having her friends safe, protecting them, surrounding herself with them...

She knows this feeling. She remembers it well. It danced in front of her eyes, curling as it blackened, the heat of flame warming that cold place inside her where the tears came from.

This was the feeling of strings sliding around her wrists and ankles and throat so the puppetmaster could play.

This was what she felt when Gerard took over.

She swallows thickly, blinks away the tears too easily...and switches her comm back onto voice.]

We're not done yet. I didn't sit around and let someone wearing your face slap me around at will to be done that quickly.

[Her voice is quiet again, even...empty.]

Don't let Jerry feed you his blood. It's like a drug, and at full strength it only takes a drop or two. He's strong enough, at full power, to immobilize you completely...cut a finger on his fang, then shove it in your mouth until you swallow.

You'll have no choice. You won't be able to move...you'll barely be able to think. You'll be completely at his mercy as he sinks his teeth in...as he wraps his arm around your waist, as he touches your hair...as he holds you like Stiles would.

[Her voice cracks once. She goes quiet just long enough to steady, then she continues...flat, factual.]

You won't even be able to scream when it hurts. And it does hurt, you know it hurts. All those teeth, those vicious little shakes of his head when the blood stops flowing fast enough, it hurts like hell. With his blood in your system, you won't even be able to call for help when he's done and just leaves you there, still locked inside your own body, too far under to even pray that someone will find you quickly.

He won't kill you, though. That'll end his fun...and do me one favor, will you? If he does catch you, if you don't scream in time? Try to scream before he gets his blood down your throat. Scott, Isaac, even Jackson can find you and put him down.

Scott and Kira were inmates on the other Barge...that's why I didn't. Why I couldn't.

[And for one second, one terrifying moment, she's back there again, screaming inside her own head as Tig tries to snap her out of it, shaking with gratitude for the simple ability to say his name out loud when Jerry's blood finally loosed its hold on her.

She pushes the moment away with a barely audible, shaky sigh.]

Okay. Now we're done.

[And this time, it's Allison's turn to kill the line.]
