[003. Mirror Mirror]

[Lydia is bored and that just won't do. If she's going to be at the barge, she'll need something fun to do. At least until she has a pet of her own to play with. And she can't wait until she gets her own inmate. Lately she's been playing with others, and she even has a couple of favorites but it's not the same thing.

Until then, though, it will have to do. She considers going to find one of those to pass the time, but she wants something a little more challenging today. Of course she won't pass the opportunity if one of them cross her path, but as she makes her way down the hallways she's looking for a few specific individuals: Blight, Chris or Arya and Nymeria.

With the power loss and everything that has been going on, it's been a few days since she's seen Scott around and she just can't go long without taunting him or he will think she's done playing.

Of course, if she can't find any of her body guards for back up, she might just have to go find Scott's little sidekick instead. That always sends her message across, too because she knows the Alpha will be able to smell her all over his Beta.]

[He stares at her with something akin to disbelief. It's really, really difficult to imagine Lydia willingly having anything to do with Peter unless it was to save someone's life. Like his. He opens his mouth to respond, then shuts it again, shaking his head.]

I'll be careful, okay? [God he hopes Scott is himself. That he's not affected by this flood. This is really terrible.] I promise, I'll be careful.

[She purses her lips together and nods, her eyes wide and still filled with fake fear. He seems to be buying what she's saying and that's a good start. But she's still not any closer to figuring out what the hell is going on with him.]

You're not leaving me, are you? We can just stay in my room. He won't come looking for you there. He never has.

[voluntaryapnea]

[He didn't really believe she was that afraid for him. Not if she was opposite!Lydia. And considering everything...she was. Still, he offered her a small, reassuring smile.]

I can't hide out from Scott forever, Lydia. Eventually he will come looking.

[lydiascreams]

[That reaction isn't unexpected at all. Maybe it will work better if she follows him instead, maybe he will open up to Scott.]

You're probably right.

[But she needs to give him something to keep in mind, so after she nods, she leans in and presses a kiss to his lips. It's still firm, but not as harsh as earlier.]

[He's not quite as caught off guard this time as she kisses him, but he's still surprised. And then he feels guilty because when this is over, she's going to remember everything and this...isn't right. He's not the one she wants to be kissing. Not really. He pulls away after a moment, chest tightening even as he offers her a tiny smile that doesn't reach his eyes.]

Just be careful. I'll deal with Scott.

[lydiascreams]

[She pulls away but lets her fingers brush over his cheek slowly before she pulls away completely and smiles uncertainly at him.]

Come see me soon. So I know for sure I still have you.

[After looking at him for a long moment, she turns to the door. She needs to leave him alone and let him leave after all if she wants to be able to follow him anywhere.]
