[Bucky more than knows he's pissed her off, and he's torn between feeling fine about it and feeling, well. Kind of guilty, honestly.

She's just a kid. She's lucky she's never had to be in the positions he's been in before, and he hopes she never has to be. That's part of why the war had happened in the first place, right? To keep people like her safe, to give them a better future free from fascism and fear?

Or so the propaganda had said. And Bucky does and did agree with that: a world without HYDRA and without the Nazis and the radical, fanatical parts of the Japanese government was a good thing.

So he's not sorry about what he did and what he had to do, and he'd do it again. But it's probably not fair to be annoyed with her for acting like she's got the moral high ground, because she's just a kid and she doesn't know any better, probably doesn't even realize how naive and ungrateful she sounds, so instead of just leaving her to it, he walks over to crouch on the edge of the foxhole she's apparently intent on widening so they're a little closer to eye level and says:]

I'm glad you're finally taking this seriously, but if you push yourself too hard, you're gonna wind up in the infirmary.
